I observe,
I feel, I  capture

Afsha, a visual storyteller with an uncanny ability to capture the overlooked,

invites us into a world where the mundane becomes extraordinary.

With a keen eye for detail, she brings human emotions and everyday moments to life.

What inspired you to document everyday life and human emotions?

I don’t remember exactly what inspired me, but I’ve always noticed everything around me. This observant nature fuels my art, focusing on the beauty of hands and the stories they hold. I observe, feel, and capture.

How do you develop storytelling skills?

Real-life experiences shape my storytelling

Why do you prefer books over films as a visualizer?

Books hold a special place in my heart. My experience while reading books is personal... they give me an infinite amount of imagination.

What are you reading currently?

I've started many but finished none. I'm reading the journals of Sylvia Plath, "The Letter to His Father" by Franz Kafka, and "Maurice" by E.M. Forster.

How did you identify your target audience?

I posted what I thought was beautiful. I changed my style of posting a lot of times, but somehow I always found people who appreciated my art, and I'm so grateful for them.

I believe that as an artist, I have the power to evoke emotions.

An artist is supposed to make people feel; anger, pain, happiness, melancholy, nostalgia etc. This is what defines an artist

What is the intention behind creating visual postcards?

For me, creating visual postcards is about capturing the overlooked beauty of the world. There is so much beauty in this world that goes unnoticed and to capture a moving moment is beautiful

If not this, what would have been an alternate career?

If not an artist, I would have pursued a career as a psychologist, driven by a desire to help and listen to people.
